Pork is probably one of the most commonly used meats in the world. It is eaten both freshly cooked and preserved. Ham, smoked pork, bacon, sausage are just few of the widely consumed preserved pork products. The pork is treated as a red meat and its myoglobin is lower than in beef, while still higher than in chicken. Pork is also high in Vitamin B1, but high in cholesterol and saturated fat as well. This is a warning sign not consume pork meat too often, but as we pointed there are positive facts about pork and it tastes delicious so including in your meals from time to time is perfectly fine.
